Senior Linux Platform/SRE Engineer

Salary: $142,084.8 - 142,084.8 per year Requirements: At least 5 years of Linux system administration experience in enterprise environments. Strong expertise in Oracle Enterprise Linux and Fleet Patching and Provisioning (FPP). Demonstrated experience with high-availability systems, virtualization, and storage management. Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools, preferably Ansible. Proficiency in Bash or Python. Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident management capabilities. Solid understanding of compute, storage, and networking. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Discipline in documenting architecture, processes, and operational procedures. Ability to follow change management and incident governance frameworks. Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment. Experience with observability tools and SRE runbooks is preferred. Responsibilities: Lead administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle Enterprise Linux in large-scale environments. Oversee the design, build, and lifecycle management of Linux servers, including storage, virtualization, and infrastructure. Manage high-availability, clustering, and load-balanced environments to minimize downtime. Lead capacity planning, performance optimization, and scalability efforts. Define and implement SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets. Direct infrastructure automation for provisioning, configuration, and patching using Ansible. Build and maintain self-healing systems and deployment automation. Install, configure, and maintain OEL operating systems and related software stacks. Manage LVM, distributed file systems, NFS, and automount configurations. Maintain DNS, NTP, LDAP/Kerberos, SMTP, and OpenSSH services. Troubleshoot TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and RPC protocols. Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks. Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems, and advance continuous improvement. Ensure security hardening, compliance, patching, and vulnerability remediation. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, and uphold operational standards and runbooks.
