Data Engineer - ETL and SQL expertise

Salary: $145,600 - 145,600 per year Requirements: Proven experience as an individual contributor in an Agile SDLC team Extensive expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language such as C, C++, or Java In-depth understanding of RDBMS concepts and data engineering, including data warehousing, data lakes, and master data management Proficient in SQL query development across various dialects (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle) Practical experience with database manipulation through DML code packages, stored procedures, triggers, and materialized views Skilled in creating reports and dashboards using tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI Experience in integrating systems for data processing through APIs (SOAP, REST), ETL, and SSIS Working familiarity with Node.js and JSON Understanding of Apache Airflow and the ability to develop Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) Experience with Apache Spark is a plus Eagerness to learn and adopt new cloud-based business applications and tools Capability to create ETL pipelines from scratch using Python Competence in writing efficient and reusable code for ETL processes Expertise in data modeling principles such as schemas and entity relationships Responsibilities: Collaborate as an integral member of an Agile software development team Design and build robust and efficient data pipelines Work with various programming languages and tools to optimize data handling Create and refine complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis Develop reports and interactive dashboards to visualize data insights Integrate disparate systems to ensure seamless data flow Conduct testing and troubleshooting of data-related processes Contribute to the architectural design of data storage systems Ensure best practices for database management and data integrity are followed Stay updated with emerging technologies in data engineering and cloud applications Technologies: Airflow Cloud ETL Flow JSON Java Oracle Power BI Python Qlik REST SOAP SQL Spark SSIS Tableau NodeJS Support More: We are BCforward, a Black-owned professional services firm founded in 1998, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, with an Offshore Development Center in Hyderabad, India.
