Senior Lead Software Engineer

Salary: $64000 - 106000 per year Requirements: We need formal training or certification in software engineering, along with 5+ years of hands-on experience. We are looking for strong core engineering capability, including practical coding and system design for modern enterprise environments. We require proficiency in one or more of these languages: Rust, Java, Go, or C++. We value a proven history of building and running 24x7 tier-1 online services. We expect practical experience across system design, application development, testing, and operational reliability. We need demonstrated success using enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with clear standards for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security. We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including handling sensitive data securely and meeting resiliency and security expectations. We look for the ability to resolve design and functionality issues independently with minimal oversight. Familiarity with open-source OLAP/data stack projects such as Apache DataFusion, DuckDB, or Apache Arrow Flight SQL is preferred. Responsibilities: We provide technical direction and guidance to support our business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors. We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others. We drive decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. We act as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas across the function. We contribute actively to our engineering community by championing firmwide frameworks, tools, and software development lifecycle practices. We influence peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies where appropriate. We help foster a culture built on diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. We build and operate 24x7 tier-1 online services. We drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes. We apply software development lifecycle toolchain knowledge, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale.
