Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Salary: $68000 - 112000 per year Requirements: We expect formal training or certification in site reliability engineering, along with 5+ years of applied experience We need deep expertise in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise architecture, toil reduction, and related SRE practices, with the ability to apply them in an application or platform We look for advanced understanding of site reliability culture and principles, plus proven ability to embed SRE practices into products and platforms We require demonstrated experience using enterprise-approved AI capabilities at work to strengthen SRE workflows, with careful validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity We need strong hands-on experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, and telemetry tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and Splunk We expect the ability to assess AI-assisted operational recommendations for accuracy and risk, establish guardrails for team usage, and ensure outcomes meet resiliency and security expectations We require strong knowledge of the SDLC and software development processes We need fluency in at least one programming language such as Python or Ansible We look for strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and educate others on SRE principles and practices We expect solid knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with growing depth in one or more technical disciplines Responsibilities: We champion site reliability culture and practices while influencing our team technically We lead efforts to improve the reliability and stability of our web hosting platforms using data-driven analysis to raise service levels We work with teammates to define service level indicators, service level objectives, and error budgets that are aligned with customer needs We apply strong technical expertise to identify and remove technology bottlenecks in our areas of specialization We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to speed up major incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, while validating outputs and handling operational data securely We partner with technical specialists, stakeholders, and team members to solve complex issues We provide continuous guidance, tools, and solutions that support our firms growth We build deep knowledge of the applications and platforms we influence, including their dependencies and constraints We document and share knowledge across our organization through internal forums and communities of practice We drive reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across the SDLC and toolchain, including CI/CD quality checks, test and validation automation, and operational readiness, while maintaining traceability, resiliency, and security controls Technologies: AI Ansible CI/CD CloudWatch Dynatrace Grafana Support Marketing Prometheus Python Security Splunk Web AWS Azure Cloud More: We are JPMorgan Chase, one of the worlds oldest financial institutions, providing innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses, and major corporate, institutional, and government clients through the Halcyon Labs and Chase brands.
