Senior Core Java Engineer

Salary: $141,960 - 141,960 per year Requirements: At least 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience with Java-based enterprise applications. Strong skills in Core Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework ecosystem. Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and SOAP/REST integrations. JavaScript experience with modern web frameworks such as Angular or React. Oracle expertise, including SQL optimization, PL/SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, and Oracle Exadata. Experience with application servers such as Tomcat and WebLogic. Familiarity with Agile development environments and practices. Strong knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented design, and enterprise architecture. Experience troubleshooting and supporting highly available production systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams. Preferred: Experience designing and implementing microservices and cloud-native applications. Preferred: Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift. Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Ansible, Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and automated testing frameworks. Preferred: Knowledge of application security, vulnerability remediation, and secure coding practices. Preferred: Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments. Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable, high-performing enterprise applications using modern Java technologies. Lead technical design, architecture discussions, and solution reviews for complex initiatives. Manage delivery from requirements through development, testing, deployment, and production support. Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions. Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems. Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine requirements and shape technical solutions. Identify and reduce technical debt while encouraging sustainable engineering practices. Ensure adherence to security, audit, risk, and regulatory standards. Lead root cause analysis and resolve production issues. Conduct code reviews and establish development standards and best practices. Mentor engineers and strengthen the teams technical capabilities. Promote automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and engineering efficiency.
