Database Security Automation Engineer

Salary: $87,000 - 127,000 per year Requirements: Hands-on proficiency in Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell Practical experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational database platforms Experience certifying software or products for security controls Demonstrated experience automating processes in database security Working knowledge of database identity and access management, activity monitoring, and encryption Experience using Jira and Horizon Preferred: Experience with CockroachDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, AWS or Azure cloud databases, GitHub Copilot, or prompt engineering Ability to complete candidate identity verification Responsibilities: Engineer solutions to collect database entitlement and login data across enterprise relational and NoSQL platforms Automate identity and access management, password vaulting, activity monitoring, and encryption controls Develop test cases and certification workflows to validate database security products and configurations Identify and remediate dormant accounts, revocations, and access drift in accordance with security policies Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage work through Jira and Horizon Work with stakeholders to define standards and document engineered controls Technologies: AWS Azure Cloud CockroachDB Copilot Cassandra GitHub JIRA NoSQL Oracle PostgreSQL PowerShell Python SQL Security Unix Support More: We are hiring a Database Security Automation Engineer / Database Security Developer for an 11-month contract in Jersey City, New Jersey, or Plano, Texas.
