AI Engineer - Microsoft Copilot & Azure AI

Salary: $146,036.8 - 146,036.8 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; a masters degree is preferred. At least five years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML, cloud engineering, or automation, including two or more years working with generative AI, LLMs, or Microsoft Copilot technologies. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI Services, and Azure AI Foundry or Azure AI Studio. Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, RAG design, AI agents, and agentic workflows. Programming skills in Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript, with experience using REST APIs and integrating AI solutions. Experience with Power Platform tools, Azure services, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Knowledge of LLMs, NLP, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, fine-tuning, and model evaluation. Understanding of responsible AI, governance, and monitoring data and model performance. Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification. Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift and containerized deployments. Preferred: Experience implementing AI in regulated environments with security and model risk controls. Preferred: Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or comparable agent frameworks. Responsibilities: Design and deliver enterprise AI solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI services. Build LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows, including RAG pipelines and semantic search using vector databases. Develop secure REST API integrations and automate business processes with the Power Platform and cloud services. Apply prompt engineering practices, assess models, and implement AI performance monitoring and analytics. Incorporate responsible AI principles, governance, and risk controls throughout the solution lifecycle. Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver production-ready solutions using CI/CD and DevOps practices.
