Vice President, Lead Software Engineer - SMA Solutions

Salary: $162,000 - 215,000 per year Requirements: Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and programming paradigms. Strong grasp of application architecture and approaches for integrating components across distributed software systems. Five or more years of experience in a similar role. Experience leading projects and teams. Experience working in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. Familiarity with relational databases. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business departments. Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. A background in Python or related modern object-oriented languages such as Java or Scala is a plus. Advanced web development knowledge is a plus. Responsibilities: Design and develop components of the microservices ecosystem powering direct-indexing equity portfolio construction tools. Help build and release software components and deploy them to enterprise container orchestration platforms with declarative infrastructure and horizontal scaling. Improve our fintech platform by modernizing existing components and selecting contemporary technologies and enterprise third-party solutions. Write clear, maintainable code that other team members can readily understand. Own feature development end to end, spanning microservices, relational database structures, and web application front ends. Build robust, maintainable web interfaces that deliver a positive user experience. Lead projects and initiatives, and mentor and support the development of junior colleagues. Stay current with technologies used by the team and participate actively in recruitment.
