AI & Machine Learning Engineer, Vice President

Salary: $190,000 - 240,000 per year Requirements: We require 8+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial work designing, building, and running complex production systems. We require 4+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML, optimization, or other model-driven applications in production. We require strong Python skills and a history of producing maintainable, well-tested software. We require strong SQL expertise and experience with data-heavy applications and large datasets. We require experience designing and building APIs, services, data pipelines, or distributed systems that support AI/ML applications. We require experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. We require proven ability to lead complex technical solutions from architecture and design through deployment, operations, and ongoing improvement. We require strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, including the ability to influence technical decisions across multidisciplinary teams. We value experience working with research teams in fast-paced environments and rapidly developing ideas from research prototypes. We value experience with generative AI, large language models, AI agents, and production AI architectures. We value knowledge of evaluation, experimentation, observability, debugging, and testing methods for AI/ML systems, including non-deterministic and agentic applications. We value experience with machine learning and optimization frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. We value experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, model serving, orchestration, data pipelines, and API design. Responsibilities: We provide technical leadership, set architectural direction, and guide key design decisions across multidisciplinary teams. We design, build, and operate production AI/ML systems across generative AI, intelligent agents, predictive modeling, and optimization. We develop reusable AI platforms, services, and infrastructure that speed up experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and adoption across the firm. We turn emerging AI capabilities into robust, scalable solutions that create measurable business impact. We define evaluation, testing, and observability approaches for AI systems, including non-deterministic and agentic applications. We optimize AI systems and workloads for latency, throughput, compute efficiency, reliability, security, and cost. We partner with business, engineering, data, risk, and control teams to move solutions from concept into production and keep them running effectively. We establish engineering standards, mentor engineers, and shape technical strategy across teams.
