Salary: $166,400 - 187,200 per year Requirements: Proven senior-level development experience, with strong hands-on skills in Python and Java. Solid understanding of full-stack development and the ability to design and explain technical solutions. Experience designing and implementing physical, virtualized, or browser-based developer workspaces. Advanced knowledge of creating, using, and managing containers, such as Docker, and container orchestration concepts. Intermediate familiarity with JavaScript and its ecosystem. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain developer workspaces across physical hardware, virtual desktops, and browser-based environments. Develop tools and services, primarily in Python and Java, to improve developer workflows and productivity. Integrate end-user collaboration and management platforms to create cohesive developer experiences. Improve CI/CD practices through new tools, automation, and commonly available libraries. Establish desktop provisioning and software package management patterns using SCCM, VDI, or similar technologies. Lead efforts to incorporate Generative AI into developer workflows to improve efficiency and value for internal customers. Ensure workspace and tooling solutions meet audit, risk, and governance standards. Promote engineering best practices, tools, and standards as a technical evangelist. Educate and mentor developers on design principles, tools, and modern engineering practices. Work with stakeholders to understand developer needs and deliver scalable, supportable solutions. Enable smooth developer onboarding and provide ongoing support for workstation and tooling issues. Find and implement opportunities to improve team efficiency through automation and process optimization. Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture decisions for developer environments and tools. Maintain documentation, share knowledge, and continuously improve developer workspace standards.
