Infrastructure Lab Engineer

Salary: $50,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements: 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, systems administration, lab engineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong customer-facing skills, including experience advising engineering, architecture, and project teams. Experience supporting enterprise environments across on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and end-user computing platforms. Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, and broad knowledge of virtualization, compute, storage, networking, identity, and security technologies. Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, container technologies, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform; multi-cloud experience is preferred. Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills. Self-motivation, teamwork, adaptability, attention to detail, technical curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning emerging technologies. Experience with innovation labs, proof-of-concept programs, sandbox environments, or pre-production testing platforms is beneficial. Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, emerging technologies, enterprise SaaS solutions, hybrid or multi-cloud environments, networking, identity, proxy services, secure connectivity, access management, endpoint management, or infrastructure automation is beneficial. Experience evaluating, integrating, and supporting new technologies in partnership with vendors, architects, infrastructure teams, and project teams is beneficial. Industry certifications in cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, endpoint management, or security are a plus; hands-on experience is most important. Responsibilities: Partner with project teams and project managers to translate evaluation needs into suitable lab requirements and service capabilities. Advise teams on lab offerings, supported platforms, technical constraints, and effective use of the lab environment. Troubleshoot issues affecting project teams, including operating systems, endpoint platforms, cloud services, connectivity, proxy services, identity, compatibility, and platform integrations. Administer and support Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments used by lab customers. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks with tools such as PowerShell, Bash, and Terraform where appropriate. Create and maintain knowledge articles, technical procedures, operational documentation, and service standards. Work with senior infrastructure engineers on platform enhancements, new offerings, lifecycle work, and service improvements. Support CIB innovation efforts by helping business lines evaluate technologies and innovation opportunities across different projects and use cases.
