Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: $116,480 - 133,120 per year Requirements: A STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience. Must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance; a clearance is not required to perform this roles work. Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, organization, attention to detail, technical aptitude, and professionalism. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; stay motivated and self-directed; and communicate with and present to external customers and end users. Preferred: Python scripting, automated testing and test fixture development, and familiarity with testing frameworks such as Gherkin, Behave, or Robot. Preferred: Military experience; experience developing system concepts of operations and use cases; and experience with system integration and test. Support system-requirement verification and traceability. Develop verification test procedures and execute them in a secure laboratory. Review test procedures and design documents with peers. Coordinate with internal teams to advance program goals and communicate status to relevant stakeholders. Develop design approaches in collaboration with subject matter experts. Help resolve technical issues through problem-solving and coordination across affected teams. Share lessons learned to improve team and department approaches. Contribute to bids and proposals for new business. Based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, this role focuses on systems engineering, integration, and testing for navigation products used in ground applications.
