Senior IT Technician

Salary: $64,480 - 74,880 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience and certifications such as CompTIA A+, Linux+, or Security+. 2–5 years of broad IT support experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a similar industrial environment. Skills in desktop and laptop support, imaging, and the PC-as-a-Service lifecycle. Familiarity with networking, including switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting. Experience supporting printers, peripherals, and shop-floor hardware. Basic understanding of storage, backups, and disaster recovery. Knowledge of security tools, data spill remediation, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with ticketing systems, SLA and CSAT tracking, and backlog management. Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure production environment. Resourceful approach, willingness to learn new systems, and ability to work as part of a team, mentor others, and escalate issues appropriately. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in manufacturing areas, climb ladders, and crawl under desks. Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and work occasional after-hours or weekends. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Responsibilities: Manage the full PC-as-a-Service lifecycle, including deployments, new-hire setups, hardware refreshes, and decommissioning. Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, mobile devices, and unclassified PCs in SCIF environments. Support printers and peripherals, including ordering, stocking, installation, and electronic waste disposal. Set up and troubleshoot conference-room AV and provide technical assistance for meetings and events. Assist with real estate transactions, program buildouts, and facility moves, including cabling, port activation, and new closet setup. Troubleshoot manufacturing and engineering tools, shop-floor terminals, and related peripherals. Perform patching, basic administration, storage management, and data protection tasks. Handle network operations, including port activation and troubleshooting, Wi-Fi coverage, LAN/WAN and VPN support, and wireless access point and switch installation. Maintain data closets, cabling, and physical infrastructure. Assist with disaster recovery, backup verification, and basic business continuity activities. Track SLA compliance, CSAT scores, ticket backlogs, and major incidents. Remediate data spills, conduct system compliance checks, and support security applications. Work with business units, manufacturing and engineering teams, and external vendors. Take ownership of issues through to resolution.
