Data Engineer

Salary: $65,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: At least 3 years of experience; the detailed description specifies 3–7 years Engineering degree Citizenship/visa requirement: USC, GC, or H1B Responsibilities: Develop services for data ingestion and synchronization, enabling near-real-time updates Ingest data from multiple sources using Python and other ETL tools Design and implement event-driven architectures for real-time data streaming using AWS EventBridge, Kafka, or SNS/SQS Build and maintain scalable data pipelines across on-premises and AWS cloud environments Develop Python scripts and applications with libraries such as pandas and NumPy to process large datasets Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and DynamoDB to support high-performance data storage and retrieval Monitor data workflows and systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability Transition existing pipelines to Microsoft SQL Server Collaborate with the business application owner on data architecture, ingestion, pipelines, business logic, data consumption, and analytics requirements Design and document target data architecture, pipelines, processing, and analytics architecture Identify opportunities for optimization and consolidation Collaborate with the data team to decompose business logic and define data transformation patterns Technologies: AWS Cloud Cassandra ETL Support Kafka MongoDB NoSQL Python SQL numpy pandas More: We are hiring a Data Engineer for a remote role or a position based in Seattle, Washington.
