Salary: $210,000 - 250,000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 4+ years of software engineering experience in a product development organization. Strong full-stack development experience across backend services, frontend applications, APIs, data persistence, and production support. Solid backend development experience with Java or modern object-oriented languages. Hands-on experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend architecture. Production experience with Perl and/or Python, including maintaining, extending, and modernizing existing applications. Experience designing, building, and supporting APIs, such as REST and GraphQL. Experience with relational databases and data modeling, including Oracle and PostgreSQL. Experience with distributed systems and evolving application architectures, including monolithic, microservices, modern, and legacy production environments. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy, and support high-quality software within an agile, cross-functional product team. Work across frontend, backend, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure as a full-stack engineer. Own features throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements refinement and technical design to implementation, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support. Build knowledge of specialty clinical workflows to inform technical decisions, ticket triage, dependency mapping, and cross-team coordination. Contribute to team practices, including design reviews, feature readouts, agile ceremonies, code review standards, and testing strategy. Use AI-assisted development tools throughout the lifecycle for requirements refinement, codebase exploration, planning, coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and initial code review. Critically assess and refine AI-generated code, tests, designs, and recommendations. Mentor engineers in effective practices and responsible AI tool use, including prompt design, context management, output verification, and recognizing when such tools are unsuitable. Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; use AI-assisted methods to improve testing, coverage, edge-case identification, and behavioral validation. Explore and apply technologies such as GraphQL to extend product and platform capabilities. Monitor application health and performance, using AI-assisted tools to speed troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. Identify opportunities to use AI-powered tools to reduce repetitive work, improve codebase understanding and test coverage, and shorten development feedback cycles.
