Lead Software Engineer, Front-End Rearchitecture

Salary: $143,000 - 243,000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. At least 6 years of professional frontend development experience, including technical leadership or lead engineering work. Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills in large-scale production frontend environments. Extensive experience building React.js component-based applications, including state management, performance optimization, and design system integration. Working knowledge of Node.js for build tooling, server-side rendering, or frontend-related services. Hands-on GraphQL experience with client-side data fetching, API design, and backend integration. Experience leading technical design, conducting code reviews, and setting engineering standards. Experience with Agile software development, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and iterative delivery. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across engineering, product, and design teams in a hybrid work environment. Exposure to Perl, Oracle, AWS, Jenkins, and/or Harness is preferred. Responsibilities: Lead the technical design and delivery of frontend features and platform components using JavaScript, React.js, and TypeScript, in line with architectural standards. Mentor frontend engineers on implementation practices, code quality, and shared conventions. Define and refine frontend architecture, component libraries, and engineering standards for a scalable, unified codebase. Connect frontend applications to backend services through GraphQL APIs and REST endpoints, establishing consistent data-access patterns. Use Node.js for build tooling, server-side rendering, and frontend-related service development. Work with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to assess requirements, shape technical direction, and deliver user-focused solutions. Evaluate AI-assisted development tools for code review, test generation, or debugging, and help teammates use them productively while maintaining quality and sound judgment. Lead code review practices, testing standards, and deployment readiness to uphold frontend quality. Assess existing Clinicals frontend codebases, identify improvements, and guide migration to the modern React-based architecture. Coordinate with engineering teams on shared APIs, data contracts, deployment pipelines, and platform dependencies. Support frontend build, release, and deployment work using Jenkins or Harness CI/CD pipelines. Partner with backend and data engineers on system integrations involving Oracle databases or supporting data services. Work with Perl utilities or automation scripts when integration or tooling needs require them. Contribute to AWS cloud deployment and hosting activities, including use of relevant frontend infrastructure services. Take part in sprint planning, technical roadmap discussions, and engineering capacity estimates. Represent frontend engineering in cross-team design reviews and architecture planning. Identify and promote improvements to frontend performance, accessibility, and developer experience. Help onboard engineers by sharing knowledge of the platform, codebase, and team practices. Maintain and expand internal documentation for component libraries, architectural decisions, and engineering conventions. Monitor team engineering health and raise blockers, risks, or technical debt that could affect delivery.
