Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $133000 - 221000 per year Requirements: We require at least 9 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree in a related field, 7 years with a masters degree, 4 years with a PhD or JD, or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent. We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. We require strong experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python. We require familiarity with basic logic gates and Boolean algebra, including AND and OR operations. We require the ability to learn new technical skills quickly and adapt to evolving challenges. We prefer candidates with an active security clearance. We prefer experience with modern C++ standards and the STL. We prefer proficiency in Python and practical use of design patterns. We prefer experience working in software development methodologies such as Agile and TDD. We prefer familiarity with Verilog or VHDL. We prefer experience with FPGA design tools such as Quartus, ISE, and Vivado. We prefer background in software reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja. We prefer proficiency with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Perforce. We prefer experience with code review practices, binary patching, and bypassing encryption techniques. We prefer published research in cybersecurity, software exploitation, or reverse engineering. Responsibilities: We lead reverse engineering efforts on systems of interest and guide technical execution across the team. We mentor junior engineers in reverse engineering methods and development workflows. We communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with teammates to shape and refine technical solutions. We design maintainable architectures for complex engineering problems. We develop and implement algorithms to automate difficult or time-intensive tasks within the reverse engineering space. We encode discoveries from reverse engineering directly into our codebase. We evaluate and incorporate algorithms originating from hardware engineers or academic sources, often with limited documentation. We participate in code reviews and respond constructively to feedback. We work across hardware description languages, embedded architectures, software development, formal verification tools, and related technologies. We contribute to innovative reverse engineering and microelectronics trust and assurance efforts.
