Salary: $100000 - 143000 per year Requirements: We require 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree in a related field, 3 years with a masters degree in a related field, 0 years with a PhD or Juris Doctor in a related field, or a high school diploma/equivalent plus 9 years of relevant experience. We require AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification. We require eligibility for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. We require U.S. citizenship. We prefer familiarity with Advana architecture, Palantir Foundry, or comparable data integration platforms. We prefer experience with data governance practices and metadata management. We prefer Agile or SAFe delivery experience in secure environments. We may require the ability to work in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory settings. We may require capability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and tolerate wide temperature changes. Responsibilities: We develop and sustain automated cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices to improve stability, reliability, and secure configuration control across Department of Defense cloud environments. We create and update automated deployments with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to support cloud operations, software release movement, and configuration compliance. We implement automation for system administration activities such as configuration changes, performance tracking, patching, and remediation. We collaborate with cloud engineers, developers, and cybersecurity teams to embed automation into continuous integration pipelines, version control processes, and environment promotion workflows. We maintain Git and GitHub repositories, build reusable templates, and contribute documentation that supports audits, change history, and configuration baselines. We apply automation to release management tasks including deployment validation, rollback preparation, and configuration drift assessment. We support incident response by automating diagnostics, log gathering, and system-state checks to speed up resolution. We monitor system health indicators, review deployment outcomes, and refine automation logic to improve operational consistency. We produce reports, operational checklists, diagrams, and deployment materials aligned with mission needs and government review expectations. We strengthen operational readiness by improving automation dependability, shortening deployment timelines, and enabling secure, repeatable cloud operations.
