Senior Python Developer, Generative AI

Salary: $8000 - 75000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a senior Python developer with at least 5 years of relevant experience. We need strong object-oriented Python development skills. We require hands-on experience with vector databases and retrieval optimization. We expect deep knowledge of GenAI lifecycle management and RAG pipelines. We value expertise in prompt engineering and AI safety techniques, including hallucination mitigation and grounding. We need experience with FastAPI, Django or Flask, MongoDB, Redis, and API integrations. We require experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, including OpenShift. We look for familiarity with model testing and evaluation frameworks for performance and reliability. We need understanding of Kafka queue integration and configuration. We value experience with DevOps practices and enterprise tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Ansible. We need the ability to work effectively with large cross-functional teams in a regulated environment. Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure and serverless architectures. Preferred: exposure to agentic architectures and orchestration frameworks. Preferred: exposure to AI/ML use cases in regulatory relations or risk analytics. Responsibilities: We develop object-oriented Python applications using solid engineering practices. We design and improve embedding storage and retrieval using vector databases. We implement GenAI lifecycle workflows and RAG pipelines, including chunking, embedding, retrieval, re-ranking, and summarization for banking use cases. We evaluate and test embedding models and frameworks for performance, latency, memory, and cost. We apply prompt engineering, hallucination mitigation, and grounding techniques in AI solutions. We build API-driven applications with FastAPI, API Gateway, MongoDB, Redis, and modern front-end frameworks. We create utilities, automation frameworks, and data pipelines that support AI/ML and GenAI initiatives. We develop monitoring dashboards and automation scripts for system health and performance. We collaborate with DevOps teams using Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Ansible. We work with cross-functional partners to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions in a regulated environment. We explore agentic architectures for orchestration and multi-step reasoning in AI workflows.
