Senior AI Platform Engineer / Lead Python Engineer

Salary: $9000 - 93000 per year Requirements: Expert-level Python development, including threading, asynchronous programming, FastAPI, and object-oriented design Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines for large datasets with performance tuning Experience designing and implementing pub/sub and message bus architectures Kafka or AMPS experience preferred Experience working on large teams within shared multi-repository codebases, including VS Code workflows Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities Clear and effective communication skills 7+ years of relevant professional experience preferred Preferred background in platform performance, scalability, and resiliency testing frameworks Preferred experience with AI/ML platform integration and hardware acceleration Responsibilities: Design, develop, and lead end-to-end implementation of our GenAI platform and related business use cases Create architectural approaches for AI software and hardware integration with an emphasis on quality, performance, resiliency, and reusability Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand goals and convert them into technical solutions Lead cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business priorities and expectations Identify, rank, and execute tasks across the software development lifecycle Establish standards and drive automation to improve end-to-end SDLC efficiency Mentor team members on technical design and development best practices Improve platform performance, scalability, and resiliency through testing Implement hardware upgrades and software enhancements to meet global performance expectations Address regulatory and performance-driven needs for regional and localized infrastructure Research and prototype new solutions that strengthen our platform and team capabilities Track AI, machine learning, and data science trends to support continuous improvement Technologies: AI ETL FastAPI Hardware Support Kafka Machine Learning Python VS Code More: We are BCforward, a global IT consulting and workforce solutions firm supporting Fortune 500 and government clients.
