Senior Data Engineer/Developer

Salary: $7000 - 72000 per year Requirements: We bring at least 10 years of experience in software development and data engineering. We have strong hands-on expertise with Teradata 16.x, advanced SQL/BTEQ, TPT, and performance tuning. We have experience developing ETL solutions in Informatica 10.x, including data migration and conversion work. We are familiar with big data platforms and tools such as Cloudera CDP, Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PySpark, and/or Scala. We are proficient in UNIX, shell scripting, and Autosys scheduling. We have practical experience designing and building solutions while coordinating across distributed teams. We have delivered work in Agile environments and used CI/CD tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible. We communicate clearly, engage stakeholders effectively, and gather requirements with confidence. We hold a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field. Preferred: we have domain knowledge in Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes. Preferred: we have experience with data governance and scalable data provisioning for surveillance platforms. Responsibilities: We design, develop, test, and maintain applications that support Financial Crimes use cases. We collaborate with business partners to refine user stories and define requirements. We estimate effort and deliver work across the full software development lifecycle within Agile practices. We create proofs of concept to reduce risk and validate new technical approaches. We build and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible. We handle technical operations such as change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades. We work with Production Support, Platform, and upstream/downstream teams to implement changes. We source, analyze, and model data, and design provisioning models for large-scale AML datasets. We promote best practices and governance across data engineering workstreams. We develop current-state assessments, future-state designs, and transition plans with measurable outcomes. We communicate deliverables and timelines to managers, peers, and business stakeholders.
