Senior IT Architect

Salary: $105000 - 211000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience. We need at least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or DevOps/automation functions. We require practical expertise with Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform, including the creation and upkeep of playbooks and roles. We need 3+ years of experience using Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab or GitHub. We require experience with Red Hat Satellite or comparable patch and lifecycle management solutions. We need strong Linux administration skills across RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu, including command-line proficiency. We require scripting capability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to support automation and infrastructure tasks. We need excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce documentation, runbooks, and collaborate across teams. Preferred: Red Hat certifications such as RHCE or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation, or equivalent credentials. Preferred: Experience working in regulated or compliance-focused environments such as SOX, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Preferred: Exposure to cloud environments and hybrid infrastructure automation, including AWS, Azure, or GCP. Preferred: Familiarity with GitLab administration, observability tools, secrets management platforms, containers, networking basics, and virtualization technologies. Responsibilities: We will have you manage Jenkins, GitLab, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible Automation Platform from end to end, including upgrades, patching, monitoring, and capacity planning. We will have you design and build CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to support automation and developer productivity. We will have you oversee Red Hat Satellite lifecycle processes, including content views, activation keys, and errata, to keep Linux systems patched consistently. We will have you develop, refine, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles, while administering job templates, workflows, and execution environments. We will have you work closely with security and compliance partners to meet internal controls, audit expectations, vulnerability remediation, and patch governance standards. We will have you create and update runbooks, technical documentation, and training resources, while mentoring teammates on scripting and automation practices. We will have you assess new platform features and release changes, then recommend upgrade paths and enhancement plans. We will have you improve operational performance through automation, scripting, and ongoing process optimization initiatives.
