Senior iOS Software Engineer

Salary: $166000 - 192000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience. We look for 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years building production iOS applications. We need advanced expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, modern concurrency patterns such as async/await and actors, and Xcode. We expect strong experience developing iOS apps with the MVVM architecture. We value experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON and XML data. We require proficiency with Swift Package Manager and dependency management. We look for hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated tests with XCTest and Swift Testing. We value working knowledge of cloud technologies and backend architectures, including AWS, Node.js, Java, and NoSQL databases. We expect experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines for iOS applications with tools such as Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, and GitLab. We need a strong understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems. We value practical experience using AI coding assistants in engineering workflows. Preferred: a masters degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field. Preferred: experience in retail, e-commerce, or large-scale consumer mobile applications. Preferred: experience with point-of-sale systems. Preferred: familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog. Preferred: knowledge of payment processing systems and integrations. Preferred: understanding of UX/UI design principles and mobile usability best practices. Responsibilities: We lead the architecture, design, and delivery of new features and capabilities for the Express Checkout iOS application. We translate business needs into scalable, maintainable, and effective technical solutions. We design, build, test, deploy, document, and support software applications and services. We ensure strong performance, accessibility, reliability, and security across the application. We incorporate observability, resilience, and monitoring into our solutions. We integrate AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve productivity and code quality. We partner with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps, priorities, and delivery schedules. We provide technical mentorship through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural guidance. We promote engineering best practices across code quality, testing, documentation, CI/CD, and release management. We lead incident response for mobile production issues, including root-cause analysis and preventive improvements. We contribute to technical planning sessions and long-term engineering strategy. We perform additional duties as assigned.
