Java Spring Boot Developer

Salary: $8000 - 84000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of hands-on experience building mission-critical, large-scale, high-volume enterprise and distributed applications using Java/J2EE. We need strong object-oriented design and Java programming expertise, along with experience on one or more J2EE application servers. Experience developing RESTful services with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, as well as SOAP web services, is required. We require experience with Apache Kafka for publishing and consuming data streams. The ideal candidate should have experience creating JUnit tests, performing performance testing, tuning applications, and analyzing code. Proficiency with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and NoSQL Cassandra is required. We expect familiarity with Eclipse or IntelliJ, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, and SOAP UI. The candidate should understand high-volume, scalable, highly available, and distributed architectures. Knowledge of creational and behavioral design patterns, as well as JEE patterns, is needed. We need someone who can coordinate across regions and resolve cross-functional issues in distributed teams. Experience working in Agile and SDLC environments, including test-driven development, is required. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing release demands. Experience diagnosing performance problems such as memory leaks, high CPU usage, and thread contention is required. Experience supporting high-traffic Tier 0 applications is needed. Preferred experience includes security best practices for cloud and application development. Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and related authentication and authorization mechanisms is preferred. C# exposure and MS SQL Server experience are also preferred. Responsibilities: We will create prototypes to validate designs and solution approaches. We will prepare UML diagrams to document current and target-state solutions. We will contribute across the full SDLC, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. We will develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug applications for business and support functions. We will provide technical input and direction to solution architecture for assigned initiatives. We will recommend technology choices that align with business needs and strengthen competitiveness. We will coordinate with external and distributed development teams to deliver on time and within budget. We will share feedback and technical guidance with project managers to help meet critical delivery goals.
