Java Backend Developer

Salary: $8000 - 80000 per year Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and J2EE, along with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot Proven background in microservices and REST API architecture, development, and delivery Solid expertise in Oracle SQL/PLSQL, including stored procedures and query performance tuning Practical experience with the Cucumber framework and unit testing methodologies Proficiency with Git and Bitbucket; SVN experience is also acceptable Experience working with MQ-based application messaging Familiarity with UNIX and Windows operating environments Prior experience in banking or payments application development Preferred: exposure to Jenkins, CI/CD tools, WinSCP, and XL Release (XLR) Preferred: familiarity with MuleSoft integration and API management Preferred: Agile delivery experience, including JIRA administration and backlog coordination Responsibilities: Participate in business discussions and workshops to gather, validate, and refine requirements Evaluate business needs and convert them into technical workflows aligned with established frameworks and design standards Design, build, and unit test Java/J2EE applications and RESTful microservices Write, optimize, and maintain Oracle SQL scripts, stored procedures, and high-performance queries Implement automated test coverage using Cucumber and support CI/CD pipeline activities Manage source code repositories using Bitbucket or Git and apply branching strategies Configure and support application messaging through MQ across UNIX and Windows environments Create and track JIRA work items while collaborating effectively within Agile teams Technologies: API BitBucket CI/CD Cucumber Git Support JIRA Java Jenkins MuleSoft Oracle REST SQL Spring Spring Boot SVN Unix Windows microservices Java EE Backend More: We are BCforward, a global IT consulting and workforce solutions firm supporting Fortune 500 and government clients.
