Information System Security Engineer

Salary: $140000 - 164000 per year Requirements: High School diploma with a minimum of 9 years relevant experience (or equivalent background) Active Secret clearance required At least 5 years of experience as a security engineer focusing on both hardware and software Proficiency in administering Linux systems (specifically Red Hat/CentOS) Experience in configuring Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and conducting security scans Security+ Certification (or a comparable qualification) is mandatory Responsibilities: Design and execute information assurance and security engineering systems focusing on business continuity and operations security Analyze and mitigate security threats and risks throughout the lifecycle of the program Validate and define system security requirements Establish and implement system security frameworks Ensure security designs are integrated into hardware, software, data, and procedures Conduct security requirement verifications and facilitate system certification and accreditation tasks Collaborate with clients to transform security and business requirements into technical specifications Configure, validate, and test secure systems and security products to identify vulnerabilities Confirm that security features comply with DoD/IC policies and industry standards Manage installation, configuration, account maintenance, signature updates, patch management, and troubleshooting for security devices Provide security certification testing, vulnerability management, assessments, customer support, and guidance on security matters Technologies: Hardware Support Linux Security Cryptography Mobile Network More: At GovCIO, we are on a mission to transform government IT by delivering innovative services and solutions that enhance how government agencies operate and serve citizens.
