DCEO Cluster Manager, Data Center Community

Salary: $153,500 - 153,500 per year Requirements: 5+ years of management experience 4+ years managing general contractors and vendors for construction and project execution, including requests for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in critical data center operations, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams Preferred: Knowledge of building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA Preferred: Experience leading operations for a mission-critical team or product Preferred: Experience in large-scale technical operations or large-scale compute farms Preferred: Experience with process improvement methods such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma Preferred: 5+ years of data center work, particularly in building and equipment operations Responsibilities: Oversee critical infrastructure across multiple facilities within a single AWS Region, ensuring work meets high-quality standards and does not disrupt customers Lead and develop 24/7 engineering technicians and facility managers Drive improvement projects from planning through completion in collaboration with support teams Maintain staffing levels and scale the team as facilities expand Participate in ongoing construction activities Coordinate daily with third-party vendors and ensure they meet contracted service-level agreements Manage operations budgets and expenditures effectively Oversee the operation and maintenance of data center electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and supporting facility systems to maintain safety, security, availability, reliability, and cost efficiency Lead the team responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting mission-critical facility equipment, including generators and fuel systems, electrical distribution and UPS equipment, cooling systems, fire suppression, building automation, and general facilities equipment Collaborate with peer leaders globally on continuous improvement Technologies: AWS Cloud Support Security Hardware Network Web More: We are AWS Infrastructure Services, the team that designs, plans, delivers, and operates the infrastructure behind AWS data centers and cloud services.
