About the role

Salary: $117000 - 195000 per year Requirements: We need strong knowledge of engineering records, electrical schematics, and standard operating procedures. We require at least 4 years of general contractor and vendor management experience, including proposals, bidding, change orders, quality assurance, and RFI/submittal tracking tied to construction and project delivery. We require a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 5+ years of relevant controls experience, or 10+ years of comparable controls experience in place of a degree. We require 5+ years of industrial controls experience in critical environments such as data centers, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil and gas, petrochemical, laboratory, power, or water facilities. We require U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of hire. We require the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph after starting. Preferred qualifications include experience with data center, critical infrastructure, or large-scale mechanical and electrical plant design or construction. Preferred qualifications include military experience, an MS in Engineering, PE licensure, PMP certification, or prior AWS/Amazon experience. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC controls or electrical SCADA systems. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, or MODBUS. Responsibilities: We train and support internal customers and stakeholders in the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of BMS and EPMS systems. We provide technical support to operations throughout the data center lifecycle. We review quarterly maintenance findings for BMS and EPMS and drive resolution of outstanding actions. We define BMS and EPMS project scopes, schedules, budgets, and level-of-effort estimates for customer and stakeholder requests. We manage the scope, timeline, financials, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects across AWS data centers. We support procurement activities, including RFQs/RFPs, RFIs, proposal reviews, and purchase order issuance. We participate in the global on-call rotation to deliver rapid BMS and EPMS technical support to live data centers. We attend project meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and provide regular status updates to Controls and stakeholder leadership. We support commissioning activities for Controls projects in the data centers. We review, implement, troubleshoot, and refine control sequences of operation and provide feedback to the design team. We develop and adjust controls logic and graphical user interfaces. We manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate complex situations effectively. We oversee the financial management of BMS and EPMS service contracts. We regularly visit operating and under-construction data centers to troubleshoot issues, meet customers, and supervise vendor work for compliance with scope, design, sequence of operation, and local codes.
