About the role

Salary: $80000 - 140000 per year Requirements: We require a high school diploma or equivalent, or an A+, CND (Certified Network Defender), Network+, or Security+ certification. We require 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing server hardware. You must hold an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. You must currently be a U.S. citizen and maintain that clearance. You need an active Security+ certification, or the ability to earn it within 90 days of your start date. Preferred: knowledge of hardware platforms. Preferred: 1+ years of computer networking experience. Preferred: a bachelors degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent professional or military experience. Responsibilities: We handle physical data center work, including capacity planning and tracking, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning. We resolve a broad range of data center infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. We take ownership of technical issues raised by our customers and involve other teams when needed to reach resolution. We use strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and understand the wider context of issues. We maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting. We act decisively even when direction or support is limited. We improve operational effectiveness through process innovation. We work across multiple sites and may be scheduled for day, night, weekend, or holiday shifts. We perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds, working in cramped or elevated areas, bending, stretching, reaching, and climbing ladders, stairs, and gangways safely. We work in noisy environments and support 24/7 operations with shifts longer than 8 hours when required.
