Data Center Inventory Coordinator

Salary: $47,840 - 58,240 per year Requirements: Proven experience in data center operations or a related field Hands-on experience handling hardware assets Knowledge of fiber-optic cabling and connectivity standards Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation At least five years of data center experience, including in-depth server analysis Ability to understand and communicate basic server operations Ability to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders Basic understanding of networking concepts is preferred Familiarity with IT asset management tools and inventory systems is preferred CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent certifications are a plus Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Willingness to work on-site in a data center and follow safety, security, compliance, and PPE requirements Responsibilities: Receive hardware deliveries, validate shipments, scan RFID tags, and update asset status and location records Track hardware, spares, parts, servers, storage, network equipment, drives, and optics throughout their lifecycle Maintain warehouse and stockroom organization, security, housekeeping, and efficient use of storage Conduct physical inventory audits and resolve discrepancies in asset records Support asset transfers, parts locker operations, RMAs, replacements, and shipments between data centers Coordinate end-of-life asset collection, ITAD vendor activities, secure disposal, and decommissioning Review and resolve asset management tickets involving missing assets, anomalies, requests, RMAs, and disposal Monitor operational metrics, dashboards, delivery SLAs, and chain-of-custody compliance Promote compliance with data center asset management policies, workflows, standards, and controls Manage the day-to-day tracking, movement, and governance of data center hardware assets while maintaining accurate records and supporting audit and SOX controls Technologies: Cisco Hardware Support Network Security More: We are hiring an Inventory Coordinator for an on-site data center role. The pay range is $23.00–$28.00 per hour.
