Associate Test Engineer

Salary: $77,792 - 82,368 per year Requirements: Hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair. Experience with system development and testing, including defining system-level requirements, test specifications, and test results. Ability to work in a cleanroom environment. Experience using oscilloscopes and digital multimeter (DVM) analysis tools and equipment preferred. Ability to use fine-adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and a variety of testing and measuring instruments. Prior hands-on experience testing digital and/or analog components and systems. Technical certificate, associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline, with at least five years of related experience. BSEE, BSEET, or a similar engineering degree strongly preferred. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and locations. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including time management and task prioritization. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, follow general instructions on new assignments, and provide direction or technical training to peers. Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to continuous improvement. Ability to work extended hours, including weekends. Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift 50 pounds or more with assistance. Knowledge of LabVIEW, Linux, and Microsoft Office is a plus. Responsibilities: Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and optomechanical assemblies at the system level. Develop or apply methods and procedures using blueprints, drawings, and diagrams. Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems, and rework components or systems as needed based on test results. Prepare technical reports that summarize findings and recommend solutions to technical problems. Assist with selecting and setting up specialized test equipment. Resolve moderately difficult technical issues and make recommendations using sound judgment. Complete routine daily work with minimal instruction and handle newly introduced assignments with general guidance. Provide work direction and technical training to peers when needed.
