AI Security Product Owner

Salary: $104,000 - 114,400 per year Requirements: At least 5 years of product owner or product management experience, including 2 or more years focused on AI/ML, data platforms, or security products. Working knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle risks, such as model risk, data poisoning, prompt injection, and adversarial inputs, along with AI governance frameworks including NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and awareness of the EU AI Act. Experience in a cybersecurity or governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) organization. Strong Agile/Scrum delivery and backlog management skills, including experience with Jira or Azure DevOps and communication with technical and executive stakeholders. Retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing enterprise experience is an advantage. Preferred: CSPO, CSM, or comparable Agile certification; security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+, or an AI governance credential such as AIGP. Preferred: Experience establishing an AI governance or AI security program from the ground up. Responsibilities: Own and prioritize the backlog for AI security initiatives, such as AI/ML risk assessment tools, model governance workflows, AI usage monitoring, and generative AI safeguards. Turn enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements—including NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, SOC 2, PCI, and applicable retail and data privacy regulations—into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. Work with security leadership, enterprise AI and data science teams, legal, and risk functions to set the product vision and success measures for secure AI adoption. Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release reviews with AI engineers and architects; address blockers and sequence delivery according to business priorities. Define and monitor AI security posture KPIs, such as model inventory coverage, completed risk assessments, remediated vulnerabilities, and policy adoption. Prepare roadmap materials, status reports, and executive updates for security and technology leaders. Assess and help select third-party AI security tools and vendors in collaboration with procurement and architecture teams.
