About the role
Salary: $102000 - 171000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. We require experience taking new design concepts from early exploration through development and into deployment or mass production. We require proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems. We require experience with power management and power monitoring systems. We prefer at least 5 years of project management experience in data centers or similar critical infrastructure. We value knowledge of mission-critical data center equipment. We value familiarity with engineering documentation, electrical schematics, and standard operating procedures. We value knowledge of building codes and regulations such as Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA. We value experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical environments. We value experience in data center engineering operations with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. We value experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings across all disciplines. Responsibilities: We troubleshoot BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers and perform root cause analysis or corrective actions. We train and support internal customers and stakeholders on the design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of BMS and EPMS systems. We provide technical guidance to operations throughout the data center lifecycle. We review quarterly maintenance findings for BMS and EPMS and drive resolution of open action items. We define project scope, schedule, budget, and effort estimates for BMS and EPMS initiatives requested by customers and stakeholders. We manage the scope, timeline, financials, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects. We support procurement activities, including RFQs, RFPs, responses to RFIs, proposal reviews, and purchase order issuance. We participate in AWS global on-call coverage to deliver immediate BMS and EPMS support for live data centers. We attend project meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and report status regularly to Controls and stakeholder management. We support commissioning activities for Controls projects in data centers. We review, implement, troubleshoot, and refine controls sequences of operation and provide feedback to the design team. We develop and adjust controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces. We manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate complex situations effectively. We oversee the financial management of BMS and EPMS service contracts. We regularly visit local live data centers to troubleshoot issues, meet customers, and supervise vendor work to ensure compliance with scope, design, sequence of operation, and applicable local codes.
