Associate Full Stack Engineer, SMA Solutions

Salary: $132,500 - 162,000 per year Requirements: We need a BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. We look for at least 5+ years of engineering experience with large-scale systems, ideally in investment management or trading. We expect strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and programming paradigms. We need proficiency in one or more modern object-oriented languages such as Python, Java, or Go. We value experience with web development and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar. We require solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase. We look for familiarity with API design approaches including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and gRPC. We need the ability to troubleshoot live issues and provide real-time support for critical incidents. We expect code to be written clearly and maintained easily by other team members. We want you to stay current with the technologies we use. We need strong communication and collaboration skills across business functions. We look for the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. Experience working in a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred. Experience integrating with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or MS Dynamics is preferred. Familiarity with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or AWS SQS is preferred. Familiarity with structured storage or NoSQL solutions such as Cassandra or DynamoDB is preferred. A background in statistical and/or financial analysis is preferred. Responsibilities: We build, enhance, and support a broad range of micro-services that power financial portfolio construction, data integrations, and real-time operational workflows. We own and operate a large technology platform that supports the SMA business. We work with our team and stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities meet business needs in a complete, timely, and validated way.
