Systems Engineer, Controls and Data Center Capacity

Salary: $114000 - 174000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience Over 4 years of experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration At least 2 years of experience in creating scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments Proficiency in any of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalents Responsibilities: Oversee, manage, and support large-scale Windows and Linux environments, incorporating virtualization platforms and networking elements Design and implement automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, Python, or Bash, aimed at scalable deployment procedures and infrastructure management Collaborate with AWS or similar cloud platforms to maintain hybrid infrastructure environments Engineer and deliver secure, scalable solutions while accounting for system interdependencies and constraints Evaluate complex technical challenges and formulate effective solutions through thorough root cause analysis Develop and maintain technical documentation, create training resources, and facilitate team knowledge exchange Collaborate efficiently with global teams, provide technical guidance, and contribute to interdisciplinary projects Identify security vulnerabilities, formulate mitigation strategies, and engage in compliance activities Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation and may require up to 20% travel Technologies: AWS Bash Cloud DevOps Hardware Support Java Linux Network PHP Perl PowerShell Python Ruby Security Windows Architect Web More: We are AWS Infrastructure Services, responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating the global infrastructure that underpins all AWS operations.
