Quality Control Engineer, Project Quality

Salary: $104000 - 183000 per year Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint) Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience Over 5 years of experience in quality control, construction management, or a similar field, ideally within data center or critical infrastructure projects In-depth understanding of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality control practices Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for construction quality assurance Strong analytical capabilities, keen attention to detail, and effective communication skills Proven ability to build strategic relationships with stakeholders and collaborate across teams Responsibilities: Lead the execution of QAQC processes throughout data center construction projects, from preliminary design to project completion Review design documents and provide constructive feedback on aspects such as constructability, maintainability, and quality assurance measures Create and sustain quality control plans, inspection checklists, and necessary documentation Perform on-site QAQC inspections during installation to ensure alignment with AWS standards and specifications Collaborate with third-party Quality Control Agents/Vendors (QCA) for comprehensive QAQC Organize regular QC meetings with stakeholders to discuss and resolve quality-related concerns Track and report on quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the project lifecycle Identify, document, and monitor quality defects or non-conformances, ensuring expedient resolution Assemble and present detailed quality control turnover packages at each project phase Conduct final quality assessments and walkthroughs with key stakeholders before project handover Facilitate knowledge transfer to end customers regarding QAQC processes and lessons learned Drive continuous improvement efforts by analyzing quality data and recommending process enhancements Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Construction Management, Commissioning, and Data Center Engineering Operations, to guarantee seamless project execution Stay updated on industry best practices and AWS-specific quality standards, integrating them into quality control processes Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time to various project sites across North and South America Technologies: AWS Cloud Excel SharePoint Web DevOps Hardware Support Network Security More: At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we lead the way as the most comprehensive and widely embraced cloud platform.
