Software Development Engineer, SKG Team

Salary: $142000 - 192000 per year Requirements: We ask for 3+ years of professional software development experience outside internships. We require 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, with emphasis on patterns, reliability, and scale. We look for 1+ years of experience building large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl. We require 1+ years of object-oriented design experience. We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent foreign qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. We prefer 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code review, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Responsibilities: We build services in our Data Center Alarming Platform that convert a high-volume alarm stream into actionable signals through suppression, correlation, and deduplication across hundreds of data centers. We integrate with Amazon Bedrock to deliver natural-language alarm summarization, pattern detection, and triage support, using a prototype-measure-iterate approach. We develop the Automated Triage and Ticketing Engine to classify, prioritize, and route alarms to the right data center engineering operations teams with useful context. We define infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, create the constructs, connect the pipelines, and own the operational health of what we release. We participate in design reviews by creating our own designs and giving thoughtful feedback on proposals from teammates. We mentor SDE1s through code reviews, pairing, and onboarding support, helping them become independent contributors.
