SVP DMZ Network Engineer

Salary: $36000 - 67000 per year Requirements: We need at least 8 years of network engineering experience, with substantial exposure to design, architecture, and implementation work. We require strong expertise in DMZ design and enterprise network architecture. We expect a solid understanding of routing, including routing protocols, with particular emphasis on BGP. We need deep knowledge of network segmentation principles and secure design patterns. We require experience designing firewall, load balancing, and web proxy solutions in enterprise settings. We value experience with application service patterns, including break/inspect models and authentication-based traffic flows. We need hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and SD-WAN. We require strong working knowledge of Cisco IOS-XE and Cisco NX-OS. We expect the ability to produce high-quality architecture and engineering documentation, including diagrams, standards, and implementation details. We need strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. We require the ability to translate business needs into practical, supportable technical solutions. Responsibilities: We design and deliver DMZ network architectures that provide secure, highly available, and scalable application connectivity. We develop and maintain network designs spanning routing, firewalls, load balancing, and web proxy services across DMZ and adjacent zones. We define and implement application service patterns, including traffic flow design, break/inspect frameworks, and authentication-integrated connectivity. We engineer solutions that enable strong segmentation and controlled communication between internal, external, and partner-facing environments. We create and maintain logical and physical network designs, standards, diagrams, and supporting technical documentation. We translate business, application, and security requirements into workable network designs and implementation plans. We partner with security, application, platform, and operations teams to align network solutions with enterprise architecture, resiliency, and control expectations. We lead or support implementation efforts for new services, enhancements, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. We evaluate existing designs and recommend improvements that strengthen security, performance, scalability, and operational supportability. We support complex troubleshooting and design review activities related to DMZ connectivity, routing behavior, segmentation, and application traffic patterns. We participate in change planning and rollout activities to ensure controlled and successful deployment of network solutions. We promote repeatable engineering practices and thorough documentation to improve platform stability and operational readiness.
