Sr Software Engineer

Salary: $135000 - 141000 per year Requirements: We want 5+ years of experience in software development within an IT organization. We want 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot. We want 3+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, or Postgres. We want 1+ years of experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB. We want a bachelors or masters degree in computer science. We value experience developing and deploying full-stack applications in cloud environments such as Azure or GCP, using Docker and Kubernetes. We value experience building high-performing APIs with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices best practices. We value experience creating scalable, real-time data streaming solutions with Kafka. We value experience designing and maintaining responsive web applications and reusable components with React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. We value experience with Java 17 or newer and PostgreSQL. We value strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to gather requirements and shape new functionality. We value the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively with senior engineers. Responsibilities: We develop and debug software for new and existing applications. We create, execute, and document unit and system-level test plans. We design enhancements for both new and existing applications. We support production applications around the clock. We participate in Agile practices and ceremonies. We translate business needs into technical designs and API specifications. We build and maintain features across the full stack, including user interfaces, databases, and server-side logic. We write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code, and we review code to provide feedback. We collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand requirements and deliver solutions. We monitor API performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. We create and maintain API documentation for developers and consumers. We write and run integration tests to verify component behavior. We analyze complex issues, provide application support, and resolve problems. We mentor junior engineers and consult on technical challenges when needed.
