Sr Principal Real-time Software Engineer

Salary: $154000 - 292000 per year Requirements: We typically require a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least 10 years of relevant experience. We need experience in at least two of the following areas: embedded C++ software, embedded software security, or software architecture design and implementation. We require experience with embedded real-time operating systems such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux. We need experience developing complex systems that integrate hardware, firmware, and software. We require an active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance before the start date, along with the ability to obtain program access. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility. Responsibilities: We architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real-time software for heterogeneous systems that combine firmware and hardware. We collaborate within a cross-functional team to define, refine, and enhance product concepts, implementation, testability, and measurable quality. We coach, mentor, and support less experienced team members. We contribute to proposals and participate in preliminary and critical design reviews. We work in an Integrated Product Team environment to support current and next-generation autonomous avionics solutions. We apply Lean and Agile practices to ensure our embedded software reliably performs its intended functions.
