About the role
Design and develop secure real-time embedded software for missile systems, focusing on security principles and compliance.
Salary: $89000 - 169000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least 5 years of relevant software experience. We need hands-on experience with C and C++. We require experience with Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC, Versal, or comparable embedded processors. We need experience working with embedded operating systems such as VxWorks, Embedded Linux, or similar platforms. We require the ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. security clearance before the start date, as well as U.S. citizenship for clearance eligibility. We prefer embedded software security experience. We prefer knowledge of Linux or Unix environments, FPGA interfacing, low-level memory drivers, inter-processor communication, ARM architecture, secure boot concepts, and cryptographic algorithms. We prefer experience delivering real-time security-focused solutions on Department of Defense programs. We prefer experience using security auditing, network security, host/server security, communications security, or policy management tools. We prefer experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments, including Scrum or Kanban workflows. We prefer familiarity with software configuration management, bug tracking tools, Python or Perl, and modern hardware technologies such as PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA, FPGAs, and ASICs. Responsibilities: We design, develop, integrate, and test real-time embedded missile software with a focus on security. We apply system security principles to the architecture and implementation of missile software applications. We develop software in C and C++ across a range of computing platforms. We analyze how our work affects the broader missile system and produce or review detailed source-code-level solutions. We collaborate with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements. We work in a shared development environment that enables program-level capability reuse. We engage with the customer community to review technical designs and support system maturity verification.
