Software Verification Engineer

Salary: $80000 - 125000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in computer engineering or a closely related discipline. We look for at least one year of experience with RTCA DO-178C or a comparable safety-critical software development process. We need proficiency in C programming. We expect hands-on experience working directly with target hardware, including lab bench equipment and debugging or analysis tools. We require proficiency with Microsoft Office. We value strong attention to detail. We look for someone who is organized, focused, and results-driven. We need solid problem-solving ability, critical thinking, and prioritization skills. We require excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred, though not required: experience with C# or Python for PC application software. Preferred, though not required: familiarity with VHDL and RTCA DO-254. Preferred, though not required: knowledge of formal coding standards and safety-critical design considerations. Responsibilities: We develop and review design documentation throughout the software qualification lifecycle. We apply safety-critical engineering practices, including planning, requirements development, design standards, coding standards, change tracking, and verification. We test and troubleshoot prototype and certified code on target hardware in a lab environment using the necessary test equipment. We design embedded software for microcontroller-based systems and PC-based applications used for verification and manufacturing. We support software design using current tools, development environments, and documentation methods. We prototype and run test programs to confirm compliance with performance, regulatory, and quality requirements.
