Software Engineer .Net, Global Payments

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements: We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least two years of applied experience. We seek solid experience with C# and .NET, relational databases, and SQL. Candidates should have hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to critically assess and validate generated outputs. We require experience with AWS services and cloud-native deployment, monitoring, and scalability patterns. Candidates should bring practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. We seek experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment, using modern programming and database-query languages. Candidates should have experience across the software development life cycle and exposure to agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. We expect an understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations. Candidates should have emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile technology. Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and troubleshoot standard software solutions, considering upstream and downstream systems and their technical implications. We write secure, clean, maintainable C#/.NET code with increasing autonomy and contribute to critical technology solutions across business functions. We use software development life cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value of automation. We apply authorized AI coding tools to support code generation and refactoring, unit testing, and documentation, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards. We contribute to integrating AI, machine learning, and generative AI capabilities—such as intelligent automation, anomaly and fraud detection, and data-driven decision-making—into payment workflows. We build cloud-native services on AWS using modern approaches to deployment, observability, resiliency, and scalability.
