About the role

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components for propulsion plant applications.

Salary: $126000 - 197000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science discipline and at least 9 years of relevant experience; or a masters degree in a related technical, engineering, or science discipline and at least 7 years of relevant experience; or a doctorate in a related technical, engineering, or science discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience; or current employment as a Principal Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer with us. We look for strong programming knowledge and practical experience in an object-oriented language, with C++ preferred. We expect a solid understanding of embedded software design and its application. We value familiarity with modern software delivery practices, including Agile Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and software verification. We require proven interpersonal ability and effective collaboration skills. We prefer demonstrated troubleshooting and debugging capability in software. A bachelors degree or higher in computer engineering is preferred. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and maintain a portfolio of embedded and internal software components used in propulsion plant applications. We work as part of a strong software team to support mission-critical software solutions. We apply embedded software engineering knowledge to contribute to product design and implementation. We participate in modern development workflows, including Agile Scrum and CI/CD-based delivery. We test, troubleshoot, and debug software to ensure reliability and performance. We collaborate closely with teammates and stakeholders to deliver dependable software products.
