Software & Systems Dev Engineer

Salary: $105,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a 4-year degree, such as a BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. We prefer 0–3 years of relevant experience. The role may involve working in conditions that include vehicle testing and exposure to flammable gases, compressed gases, extreme temperatures, radio frequencies, driving vehicles, and color-vision-related tasks. Responsibilities: We will learn the processes and requirements needed to help lead infotainment software development, with an emphasis on head unit software. We will support the creation of a top-tier infotainment platform for multiple future models, aligned with C.A.S.E. and quality priorities. We will help guide software integration partner suppliers in developing and maturing the software. We will contribute to hands-on infotainment software testing, including defining system-component requirements and supporting vehicle testing to confirm product performance. We will assist with maturation testing across different component configurations to ensure all variations function correctly. We will prepare clear reports, presentations, and technical documents to capture development activity and communicate with Technical Experts. We will build our ability to analyze and interpret test results, anticipate performance or failure behavior, and provide product and design data. We will help draft proposals, develop specifications, and issue requirements for system components. We will identify and define critical hardware, software, and communication requirements for infotainment components to meet customer needs. We will communicate development schedules and component-function status across different areas of the company. We will research future trends in infotainment architecture, features, and efficient development approaches, and help influence the direction of the platform. We will propose, develop, and support new functions that respond to market needs.
