Site Reliability Engineer (AWS)

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and enhance a large-scale government platform. You will be responsible for ensuring platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Location: Punggol Job Type: Full-time Contract (Subjected to renewal / conversion) Key Responsibilities Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and security of cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent tools. Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs). Manage incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident improvements. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. Manage and optimise containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices to improve deployment efficiency and platform stability. Collaborate with development teams on system architecture, performance optimisation, and capacity planning. Develop automation scripts and internal tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Software Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Golang, or Bash. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD and DevSecOps practices. Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. Good understanding of networking, security, troubleshooting, and system performance optimisation. Good to Have Experience with GitOps, Istio, HashiCorp Vault, or microservices architecture. Familiarity with frontend or backend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, or Golang.
