Salary: $101000 - 157000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university plus at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree in a related discipline plus at least 4 years of relevant experience. We value prior experience working with Linux-based systems. We prefer familiarity with scripting or programming languages. We look for knowledge of networking, computing, and storage architectures. We seek experience with virtual infrastructure implementations. We require U.S. citizenship. We require the ability to pass a federal background investigation and meet eligibility standards for access to classified information. We require the ability to pass a drug test in accordance with company policy and federal requirements. Responsibilities: We administer the installation, setup, operation, upkeep, and optimization of hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure. We evaluate emerging software and hardware technologies to determine their value for the environment. We develop practical solutions that strengthen system reliability and improve performance. We create and enforce security policies and procedures to protect systems and data. We support a team focused on gathering and converting Naval nuclear fleet data into analytics used across the Laboratory.
