Senior Software Engineer, Front-End Rearchitecture

Salary: $119,000 - 203,000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 3–6 years of professional frontend software development experience. Strong production experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, including building component-based applications with React.js. Working knowledge of Node.js for frontend tooling, server-side rendering, or related service development. Familiarity with GraphQL for client-side data retrieval and API integration. Experience producing maintainable, testable frontend code in an Agile environment. Understanding of browser behavior, web performance optimization, and frontend debugging tools. Ability to work across product, design, and backend engineering teams in a hybrid environment. Exposure to Perl, Oracle, AWS, Jenkins, or Harness is a plus. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain performant web applications using JavaScript, React.js, and TypeScript. Create accessible, reusable UI components and shared frontend patterns for our Clinicals applications. Connect frontend interfaces to backend services through GraphQL APIs and REST endpoints. Use Node.js as needed for build tooling, server-side rendering, or lightweight middleware. Partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to turn requirements into reliable, user-centered interfaces. Review existing frontend codebases and help migrate them to a unified React-based architecture. Investigate and resolve interface defects, performance issues, and cross-browser compatibility problems. Write clean, testable code; take part in code reviews and unit and end-to-end testing. Apply sound engineering judgment when using AI-assisted tools for code suggestions, testing, or debugging. Help develop frontend documentation, standards, component libraries, and shared engineering practices. Assist with frontend releases and deployments using tools such as Jenkins or Harness. Coordinate with backend engineers on API contracts and data integrations, including Oracle and other data systems. Work with Perl scripts or utilities when frontend tooling or integrations call for them. Contribute to cloud-based frontend deployment and hosting on AWS. Participate in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and engineering estimates. Identify improvements to frontend performance, accessibility, and developer experience. Support onboarding and knowledge sharing for incoming frontend engineers.
