Salary: $119,000 - 203,000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 4 years of engineering experience in a product development organization. Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot. Practical experience using AI coding assistants or agentic development tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, in a production workflow. Motivation to adopt and improve AI-driven workflows, including iterating on prompts and evaluating and correcting AI-generated code. Ability to critically assess AI-generated output. Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS EC2, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or GraphQL is desirable. Hands-on ReactJS experience is a plus. Experience in Agile development environments; experience adapting processes for AI-assisted delivery is preferred. Responsibilities: Turn specifications and acceptance criteria into well-tested, reviewable changes, and help clarify requirements upstream to reduce ambiguity. Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools across the software development lifecycle for scaffolding, code generation, test authoring, and initial code review, while taking ownership of the correctness, security, and maintainability of delivered work. Evaluate, debug, and refine AI-generated code and tests to meet domain requirements, security standards, and system constraints. Prototype LLM-assisted tools for developer productivity and product features, and help establish safe, usable approaches to AI in a healthcare-regulated environment. Build expertise in claims and revenue cycle management to support ticket triage, dependency mapping, and coordination across teams. Help develop team practices, including design reviews, feature readouts, Agile ceremonies, code review standards, and testing strategy. Mentor engineers in responsible and effective AI tool use, including prompt design, output verification, and recognizing when not to rely on AI. Support integrations and deployments using AWS EC2, Docker, and Kubernetes, and use AI tools to accelerate infrastructure-as-code work such as Terraform. Explore technologies such as GraphQL and Cadence to expand product capabilities. Improve testing through AI-assisted unit and integration test generation and coverage analysis. Monitor application performance and use AI-assisted tools to accelerate troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. Keep up with emerging AI-assisted development practices and assess which approaches are worth adopting.
