Senior Security Engineer

Salary: $103000 - 144000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in computer science, business management, or another IT-related field, or equivalent experience in place of the degree. We require at least 10 years of related information systems security experience, or a masters degree with 7 or more years of experience. We require 4 or more years of focused experience in areas such as penetration testing, digital forensics, data recovery, intrusion analysis, incident response, surveillance and monitoring, network protocols, network devices, multiple operating systems, or secure architectures. We require substantial experience working through technical accreditation processes and preparing Assessment and Authorization body of evidence documentation. We require familiarity with security and discovery tools such as Tenable Nessus, Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, and NMAP. We require experience collaborating across large technical teams to support a standardized security strategy and manage interconnected systems. We prefer a CISSP or similar cybersecurity engineering certification. We prefer hands-on experience with cyber risk and compliance automation tools. We require a current and active TS/SCI clearance. We require the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph. We require the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, move around the office as needed, and communicate clearly with colleagues, leadership, and customers. Responsibilities: We design secure architectures across hardware, operating systems, and software to ensure cybersecurity requirements are fully addressed. We develop and implement network security controls and countermeasures that protect confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation. We integrate security protocols with Cross Domain Solutions for use within the information system and network environment. We create interface specifications and propose mitigations for vulnerabilities, including recommendations for system component changes when needed. We ensure network system designs can smoothly absorb directed cybersecurity vulnerability solutions. We document responses to required controls and maintain a strong documentation set to support the sponsors accreditation process. We collaborate with management, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver complete, functional systems that satisfy mission requirements.
